Be Prepared - should you unfortunately be involved in an auto accident, an incident, or even a witness at the scene, carry paperwork in your vehicle, together with a pen or pencil to jot down the pertinent details. You should be able to write names, addresses, telephone numbers, information on the insurance on the vehicle, or vehicles involved. This all sounds so elementary - but it is surprising the scribble notes we see on all sorts of writing materials......It is good to be able to draw a simple diagram and log in details of the responding authorities, the report or case #, which it also vital information. Like the Boy Scouts moto, "be prepared."
